Lyrics
I'll meet you at Morey's
it's a strip club down the street...
I know it's not that pretty,
and the dancers all look really beat...
But it's a place we can go to
and make out in the back...
Where no one cares about us
dancing to the Knack...

Tonight... Tonight... Tonight...Tonight
feels like yesterday...
and kissing you now makes everything
in life A.O.K....
No one but you could ever be something
better for me...
cause...
Tonight... Tonight... Tonight...Tonight
feels like yesterday...

Bonnie was a dancer once...
now she's serving drinks behind the bar,
and honest as the day is long,
as she runs a twenty to your car...
but time will take its toll on her
and everyone...
until then imagine...
you and I still young...

Tonight... Tonight... Tonight...Tonight
feels like yesterday...
kissing you now makes everything
in life A.O.K....
No one but you could ever be something
better for me...
cause...
Tonight... Tonight... Tonight...Tonight
feels like yesterday...

I feel my heart beating...
as that kiss was leaving me...
sing out loud, I love you...
was the best thing I have ever done...

Tonight... Tonight... Tonight...Tonight
feels like yesterday...

Tonight... Tonight... Tonight...Tonight
feels like yes..ter..day...

Tonight... Tonight... Tonight...Tonight
feels like yesterday...

Tonight... Tonight... Tonight...Tonight
feels like yes..ter..day...

Description
Story Behind the Song:
Many years ago, 1995ish, my wife and I were newly married and hanging out with a couple of her friends she knew years before I was ever in the scene, so to speak.
These friends introduced us to this great hole in the wall strip club they had been frequenting since they were teens called Moreys.
If you can imagine a place smaller than a double wide and filled with 40 year old strippers that were just the nicest people you could ever hope to meet, all with stories of real life and financial woes that would beckon for a dollar if told.
But they made for great company while you were getting tanked at the bar and really no one wanted to see them strip!

Anyway it's one of the fonder memories I have of my early adult years.
as always there is more to the story if you're interested, drop me a line and I'll be happy to tell it!

Enjoy
