Chasing Fair Mitch Siegal

So long... to the world... I knew... goodbye... to this life... we do...
Welcome... to things of the past... hello... to a simpler time...

Don't be... afraid anymore... let go..... we've been... here before...
Who says... what's right or what's wrong... those days... are all but gone...

Still chasing... I've been chasing fair...
My heart still knows the way... back.... home...

Still chasing... I've been chasing fair....
My soul remembers... How... to get... to there...
Still chasing... chasing fair.... I'm still chasing.... chasing .....fair....

Find peace... in less.... to do... more time... to be...... with you...
Watch how..... the winds.... will slow... see now.... this path.... we... go..

Still chasing.... I've been chasing fair...
My heart still knows the way back home...

Still chasing.... I've been chasing fair...
My soul remembers... how... to get... to there...

still chasing.... chasing fair.... I'm still chasing.... chasing fair.....
I'm still chasing.... chasing .....fair....

Story Behind the Song:
Oddly enough, frustrated about the days end and unfairness of life in general, while in the shower I had a thought. No matter how fastidiously I try to circumvent this unfairness of life that no one has control over, I will always find myself chasing it....chasing fair. We all do.

Would it really be all that bad if human existence reverted back to a simpler time. A time where we looked up from our mobile devises and shared something real like eye contact? A place where basic needs are met by the fruits of our labors.
Just saying, I don't think we were meant to work this hard at so many things. Maybe if we kept it simpler as a whole, we would take less medications, be healthier.... happier... truly live, not watch the weeks, months and years pass by ever so quickly with ill regard to this amazing gift of life.
